Slim City off and running in Melbourne

With an opportune visit by Alex Wong from World Economic Forum,the first public Slim City event takes place tomorrow to launch the cards in Melbourne 26 May 2009. While the crowd is only a modest 40 or so the launch has raised great interest but unfortunately competes with another Sustainabilty conference.
The event is to be hosted by the Built Environment Design Professionals, Chaired by Prof Rob Adams from the City of Melbourne.

Thanks Peter. I'll check out the website you mentioned. Any new challenges since we last met? Our "Leading in a Complex World" subject will be introduced in 2010. We have also just won a grant to introduce a subject built around the EWB Challenge, likely for first year students. It will focus on the challenges of global poverty. If Arup is able to assist in any small way in either subject, that would be great. Certainly, the Drivers of Change cards will be very useful.
